Summer Transfer Window 2017

Apart from Barkley they're all gash or inconsistent and offer nothing to the team. Or would you rather keep them?

I think mccarthy would be an excellent squad player but have come to realise he just will never be fit. And so wouldnt be crying if moved on. I think mirallas is a squad player as well and would get game time esp with thursday night footie. He would need to be replaced. The rest are no good if we want to progress. Lower end table players.

I'm not forgetting them at all. Merely pointing out that it was not an overnight thing. You could also look at Middlesbrough who did try the overnight thing with Ravanelli, Juninho, Emerson, Boksic etc, they went down a few years afterwards.

Facts are there is more competition for players these days. Champions League is key when it wasn't back then, you have 4 teams who can offer that (five this year) before you even look into other nations, back then you had 1 or 2 depending on the timescale. More clubs with more money and more to offer makes it harder than it was back then.

I want signings too, we all do, but I am not going to blame the board or anything like that when quite simply the players who we want may not be available. Who have we missed out on who has gone to another club for example? We want Giroud by all accounts, but either he does not want to move or Arsenal don't want to sell him so what can you do?

You think this is an overnight thing ?

In a few hours, that'll be 3 transfer windows. In 4 months time our apparent billionaire has been here for 2 years.

We are yet to make a signing that we couldn't of made with the previous majority shareholder. You're kidding yourself if you believe otherwise. 3 transfer windows ! Yet to make a signing we couldn't of made had Moshiri not been here.

It's pretty telling to be honest.

Technically Rooney and Sandro are forwards; Rooney was utilised everywhere at Utd and Sandro did play a full season as a number 9 in La Liga scoring 16 goals.

And I thought Vlasic was a pienaar type schemer in all honesty.

And I'm not saying we don't need another striker. I'm just simply stating that your post was untrue

Nah. It was definitely true. They all occupy the same space behind the front man.

Better nowt happening than some of the names we are being linked with :(

I agree full well that this last bit is ridiculous in terms of a striker. I really do think we were holding out for Giroud and it is only in the last few days that he's definitely ruled out a move away from Arsenal.

But our business in general has been very good and got done early, even if a few will take a bit of time to settle.

We've signed players that were far less essential than a striker.

I mean, whatever your feelings on Moshiri, his wealth isn't the thing in question.

And we've spent £150m this window, so you're wrong. So, so wrong.

We have broken our record transfer three times over this window. Stop chatting wham.
