They got kept behind mate so it was fine leaving thoigh I understand why you left early just in case.

I went with my 8 year old son, 10 year old nephew and was in the upper street end and bellends like that just make my blood boil because I know there's kids in the park end.

Everton fans who go over there next week will be fine because unlike them we have a bit of class and respect and most importantly go there to watch the football.
Yeah we had a lift from outside the stadium and ended up stuck there anyway until all they're fans were escorted past us.
There were a lot of young kids there tonight they shouldn't be seeing things like that. An next week it won't be about the way we conduct ourselves it will be about them absolute tools making a name for themselves.

Yeah it rattled my lad a bit because of all the police and stewards but I just explained to him people who act like tits get treated like tits.

I don't think there will be many Evertonians who have booked next week will be put off by tonight though I do think Everton will want to be taking over some local police with them for safety.

State of them though, gang of absolute knobheads thinking it's 1983. That's the difference you see, I take my 8 year old son cos we love football, you take your pregnant missus cos you both love football, they've gone the game for anything but football and to chant there 1992 Eurovision song contest entry for 90 minutes.

Let me tell you what's gonna happen next week in Split. I'm actually Dinamo Zagreb fan, Hajduk's archenemy. I'm typing you this because I had lived in Liverpool for 6 years and got many Everton fans as friends.

I've read some football forums this evening in Croatia, also know few Torcida lads. Have been multiple times in Split on away matches. Well, let me tell you something. Split is very different from Zagreb or for that matter most of the cities Everton fans had opportunity to visit. Split is relatively small city, 200K people in 40 square kilometers. Torcida is everywhere literally.

I'd say nothing big would have happened in Split next week if it wasn't for riots today. After this, it will be hell of a week down there. I don't know if you understand it, but as of now (past evening), every guy wearing Everton colors between age of 18 and 50 will be a legit target for them. And not just next Thursday, your guys will be targeted for the whole week, as long as they're in Split.

And don't think that 100 or 200 of them will gather and attack you, they're way smarter than to attract Old Bill's attention. Multiple small groups, 8-10-12 people, sometimes armed with bats and flares will target your guys, but considering Everton's casuals are non-existent today, they probably won't even use weapons, just like Russian top firms in France last year.

Don't think Torcida is 'making a name' on Everton fans. Torcida is one of the strongest Ultra groups in Europe, right there below Russians and Poles. They already made their name long time ago and continue to do so today. They've been to Athens, Belgrade, Poland, Russia and so on and they always looked for trouble. Beware people, don't take this trip as a joke, please.

Only thing that stopped them today is that their ''core guys'' or ''top boys'' intervened and pushed back all those guys cause if they invaded the pitch, Hajduk would have been banned by UEFA. Split is something different so stay in the city center where the police will guard you, don't wander alone with your colours on.

Schneiderlin going off hurt us. Which like I said in another thread is why keeping Barry was important imo. We lose so much when we don't have a deep-lying playmaker.

But, overall, a good display - and a fantastic first half that should have been capped off by Rooney.

My ratings:

Pickford - 8 - Didn't have too much to do but when he did he did it in a boss fashion. Changed this to an 8. He's dead boss.

Martina - 7 - He attacked well and put some good crosses in. No complaints from me. Think we'll see Holgate vs City, though.
Keane - 8 - He's boss.
Williams - 7 - I wanted Jags in but Williams was sound tonight. Needed a game like this to refind some form.
Baines - 7 - Got up and down as always and the play for the first goal was brilliant.

Schneiderlin - 7 - Kept us ticking. Shame he went off.
Gueye - 8 - He gets more and more boss every time he plays.

Lookman - 7 - Great first half. Tired in the second and imo should have been taken off for Lennon rather than Besic coming on.
Klaassen - 7 - His link up play is superb. Needs a goal.
Mirallas - 6 - Usual in-and-out Kev display though he did some neat stuff.

Rooney - 7 - Couldn't really stamp himself on the game from that role but his assist was boss. Should have scored.

Davies - 5 - Couldn't get into the game tonight. He isn't a like-for-like replacement for MS, and I reckon that change should have been Besic on.
Calvert-Lewin - 6 - Ran the lines well and showed some really neat touches.
Besic - 6 - Did his stuff well.

Komean - 6 - Set-up really well but think his subs were a bit off. That being said, injury to Sandro limited it a bit.
Good little review mate, agree with each players review.

The funniest thing about it is because they couldn't get past the police and stewards they started punching 10 bells out of each other.

I won't be taking the mrs for a while now though especially if we draw any Eastern European teams in the group. Yeah they were just looking for trouble I've got like 4 video's of them on my phone just watched them and didn't realise how bad they actually were. The atmosphere away from them though was amazing

Don't know where the post has gone, or where to post this, but the guy who did that Vlog thing driving to Goodison and going to the Stoke game recording it all... saw him on the way out of the ground and said hello.

Anyone noticed there player not going off when the physio came on? Has there been a rule change or something?

The ref also failed to book a Split player for GBH on Rooney, so unless there's been a rule change there too, I think the man in charge was just a clown.

We haven't seen anything like that for a while and if they had really wanted to cause trouble they could have easily got to the park end but like @nsno-chris says, a 65 year old steward acted as a barrier and piped the gang of biffs rofjt down before the police strolled in a few minutes later.
