I always get a little stiffie when we sign someone, it's been like that since Martin Dobson frankly, but I've noticed that my excitement bears little or no relation to the ability of the player, it is eternal optimism on my part.

I think this is a good one, too much money but that's irrelevant. However, I'd like to know why it took so long, theories on a postcard.
