Baines didn't refuse to sign a contract. Baines didn't ask to leave.

You can't compare the two situations.

For half a season last year and, in fits and starts under Martinez, he's shown us how good he can be, so I'd hoped he'd continue to progress at home. But, if, by wanting a "new challenge", he wants to play Champions League footie this season, then fair enough, toddle along Ross and see how it goes. Mind you, if he's sulking because he doesn't like the manager, then he needs to grow up and can toddle along as well.

Ross is very talented, but, unlike Lukaku, at this moment in time, he's unlikely to be first choice at a CL team, so I think he's making the wrong choice, but it's his life and, to be honest, I'm not all that bothered about him leaving ( assuming he does ).

By that time , everyone had worked out that Roberto was a really bad manager..........Oh and Barkley has said nothing against the manager !
