You're right of course, but that doesn't mean we should all pay more for things without thinking.Yes and if I sold my house it would cost me 600,000 to buy similar.

As to wages , food , beer , cars all cost a lot more now than in 1982
I appreciate that beer costs more than in 1982 but I still baulk at paying £5 for a pint, particularly because I know I can get good beer elsewhere for less than that. Same principle here - the market has gone a bit crazy, but that doesn't mean we all have to agree that spending £50m on Sigurdsson is good business, or the wisest use of the club's resources.
