Kopite but aye, it's true.

Gerrard was still playing for them until he was 35 so they would have well took him back when he was 31. And any sane club would take anything upwards of 70m for Coutinho.

The rs need to pipe down and worry about themselves and the reason why they are discussing our transfers is because they are worries, very worried.

If Rooney comes, he will be one of 7-8 players brought in to help us pish on.

Mate their name alone does it.

Their name isn't a given if they continue in this vein
They're floated on the stock market and rely on sponsorships for their spending power
A few more years like this and these things will no longer be taken for granted for them

Quite frankly i'd take great satisfaction in helping this on it's way by leapfrogging them

In context it's still rather grim.

No one was 'buzzing' about losing Rooney, we were all 'livid', and I haven't seen anyone 'buzzing' about taking Rooney back and losing Rom but we all know our financial position in 2004 and Rom's insistence on moving now so it's more dealing with those.

If Liverpool were about to sell their best player, would you be worried? Nah. I was fairly pleased they let Suarez go. Torres too.
