Jimmy Glazzard the centre forward with one leg....Bryan Griffiths, left back given the runaround by a 104 year old Stanley Matthews on his debut.......Ray Veall, one of many left wingers who tried to replace Tommy Eglington....like Eddie O'Hara, Jimmy Fell,Bobby Laverick etc etc etc...or was all that in an alternative universe?

That fella who came on his sub in a home friendly in the late 90s early 00s I think. He was a journalist and had permission to play and trained with the team all week. He went on the right wing for the last 10 minutes, may have had one or two touches. He's the most obscure one I know.

Not really in the same way as the other mentioned as he never made a first team appearance but David Carney.
Fellow Australians should recognise the name.
