You can still buy anyone you want regardless of a work permit, as I believe that is just in regards to right to reside in the country.

So he can't play here, but he can still be under contract. Similar to how you can outsource working contracts to India as a business etc.
Thought that might be the reason for the loan,althought how this will be effected by Brexit in the future??
 
Love the way he flew in for medical yesterday and signed the deal last night. Be interesting to watch his development.

That's going to be interesting. It'll depend on his countries ranking in world football and the amount he's played for his national team.

In theory, we could still sign him the same way, but the odds on him getting a work permit to ever play for us will probably diminish dramatically.

The big question is whether football applies for exemptions to the work permit rule for EU residents as part of Brexit, to allow us to continue to trade as we do now.
