I cant see any club that finished above us making an offer for him unless it was a derisory one. Flashes of brilliance but far too inconsistant on all fronts. His shooting at times from outside the box is awful.
They dont challenge for the title, they dont challenge for the CL.May I ask what you base this wild assumption on?
I would say at the elite clubs of this league - I'm talking 3 maybe 4 in reality, of which Spurs are one - few players in the MF and attack are guaranteed starts week in week out.
This lot would be:
Kane, Eriksen, Wanyama
Costa, Hazard, Kante
De Bruyne, Silva, Aguero
(United - literally no one is guaranteed starting every game)
That's the reality of the situation for RB. He'd be in that very talented group of players slotting in around that lot at whatever elite club in this country he was at.
Most players would jump at the chance. They wouldn't see getting 20-25 league games a season with them as a worse fate than signing on the dotted line with basket case clubs like WHU or Newcastle.
They dont challenge for the title, they dont challenge for the CL.
Jilted syndrome mate. Not only that, it'd be about a top player having faith in his own ability. He'd go there believing he can dislodge them.
It truly baffles me how anyone believes for a second that Barkley would be going to West Ham or especially Newcastle. It's like they've thrown logic out the window for an irrational hatred of the player.
'spose so. I think though they have Jose and he'll get them challenging seriously this coming season.Could the same not be said about United?
All the teams that finished above us are the elite in the league, for different reasons.

Jilted syndrome mate.
I just find it odd where the disappointment is aimed at though.
We're losing a talented player we could have built our side around for the best part of decade, due to the whims and actions of a journeyman manager who will be here another two years at best.
If people looked at it logically and put themselves in Barkley's shoes with the deadlines etc. from Koeman, then the conclusion is obvious - he's a talented player; why should he sign with us when his talented isn't appreciated here by management?
lollollollol
Top 1% my anus.
Koeman doesnt determine how much we offer players, thats done at Boardroom level.

He was offered a contract so he must have been appreciated in some way. The problem with Ross is he has seen himself as a biggish fish in a medium size pond. That's changing now and he knows he is shrinking in stature and fancies being a bigger fish at a no mark club.I just find it odd where the disappointment is aimed at though.

He may be talented but he is replaceableI just find it odd where the disappointment is aimed at though.

Maybe his issues are not football related he may want out of the city. There still maybe some issues from the night he got put a kip!I didn't mention wages once?
That'd be because I don't think money is the primary issue here.

If the stories are true then why wouldn't he have the confidence of keeping his place at Everton? That is why I said if he wants a guaranteed start then he ain't going to get it at Spurs, Arsenal or the like if he can't get it at Everton and that is why I said that only the likes of w Ham or Newcastle could possibly offer him a guaranteed place. That is what is baffling me and the more I think about it the more I see it as a lame excuse. If he played to his best he would be hard to leave out at Everton but it's becoming more obvious he doesn't want to be here be it Koeman or lack of fight. Don't want him to leave therefore no hatred of the player from me but I just don't understand his logic if the story is true. Not only that, it'd be about a top player having faith in his own ability. He'd go there believing he can dislodge them.
