Just read this regarding the new Milan takeover and got my thinking why we didn't do this since Moshiri is definitely richer than their Chinese owner:

Good names there mate but I'm very suspect about their want to be at a non CL club. More realistic targets (eg Andre Grey, King from Bournemouth) are where we might highly probably secure replacement for Lukaku.

We aren't YET big enough to attract those players. A few years with success will do it.

Big step in the right direction if true. I feel like this takes us closer to the top six but still lacking those one or two magic signings to push us right up there. Still a long way to go... and of course for all we know Arsenal might swoop in and buy them all instead
