We were supposedly in for this guy a couple of weeks ago. Dpnt know if we still are. Not sure why they are concerned about who they sell him to. Would have thought West Ham were a good option, with a sell on clause if he moves again.

I'm not sure Rom is leaving, a week ago he mouths off he signed a contract with what we believe to be Chelsea yet they haven't bid for him and like john terry who can't keep it in his trousers, they couldn't and wouldn't keep it quiet.

So what are they waiting for? Windows open, they agreed a contract with Rom, why haven't they tried to buy him yet.

Heard the delay is to do with the price, Chelsea don't want to pay £100 million, so there is a chance of other players involved......queue the comments.......

Addons maybe for success at new club, or a sell on fee % they would rather see him go to a club with a better track record of both?

If we realistically expect to get 100 million then I wouldn't take Ake and Batman plus 40 mil, that means you are valuing those two players at a combined 60 million!!!!

To be honest I got a little confused with Lukaku's comments. He said there was an agreement with the club. Never a mention of contract. I didn't know if he meant an agreement with Everton to leave or an agreement with another club he would join them.

I personally can't see anyone stumping up the required cash.

His contract length leaves us in a strong position this summer but do we also want a player here that clearly doesn't want to be? Next summer he's on his last 12 months so price drops.

I think if we have signed some strikers and someone bids like £60m we might say yes.

Didn't Chelsea pay 38 million for Mitchy, so they aren't going to take a loss plus if MaGuire is worth 25 million, Ake is worth over 20, so the sums aren't that far out....

..surprises me that a selling club are dictating where a player should go. I'd have thought they set a price, a club agree to pay it and then it's up to the player. Bit like going into the Asda to with the right money to buy a loaf and they say they prefer to sell it to somebody else.
