Summer Transfer Window 2017

Sheeds having his run at ITK glory again, got to respect the man for trying.

I will honour him in the Index

The risk reward element of the index is what makes it so brutal/intoxicating. A Friend is only ever one wrong word from Elstone away from dropping from Mole10 status to king Weasel. It's cruel but beautiful.

This is a beautiful interpretation of the Index. You know, it's different for everyone.

I see it merely as a way of recording the magic of the summer transfer window. It's our own Bayeux Tapestry, with @Raino85 being Harold.

West Brom plotting James McCarthy transfer from Everton to fill Darren Fletcher's shoes

The Baggies need a midfielder after their captain's move to Stoke and want Irishman also being eyed by Newcastle

West Brom have lined up Everton midfielder James McCarthy as a replacement for skipper Darren Fletcher.

The Baggies reluctantly admitted defeat in their battle to keep Scotland international Fletcher despite offering the same terms as his new club, Stoke.

Boss Tony Pulis wants a more dynamic presence in his engine room and will move for Everton man McCarthy.

The Toffees want more than £15million for the Irishman, who has a big fan in chairman Bill Kenwright — but boss Ronald Koeman is happy for him to go.

Promoted Newcastle have also been keen but will not pay that fee, leaving Pulis in pole position.

Klaasen shouldn't be compared to Naismith just cos they're similar heights.

Klaasen can't play right-wing or left-wing or striker.

Klaasen is an all-round central midfielder who gets in the box to score and helps his team score goals. He is more comparable to Tom Davies than Steven Naismith. And tbh we could probably rely on him for a full season to score and make assists from a 3-man midfield more than the young prodigy right now. And with EL footy, cups, and a top-4 push he would be a good signing IMO.

If Klaasen is a bit of a yardie (like Naismith), I hope he doesn't come here.
I'm not overly keen on Keane either; he's a bit agricultural.
Sandro? Not sure he won't turn out like Soldado. The PL is not the place to experiment with untried continentals.

So, from being quite excited a few pages back, I've returned to a state of despondency. There will be no more excited trips to the aerodrome for me.

Such a poor window. No one good wants to be at Everton it seems
