That Russian fella who owns Chelski has ploughed over 1 billion pounds into the rent boys. We've seen nought (bar interest expense...4mio) from our billionaire.
Sorry for my skepticism

Now that I disagree with.

We need advancement both on and off the field for Moshiri's investment to grow, so speculate to accumulate is the only option. Nothing will be the same, not even remotely close to the same - nowhere near a Chelsea or City level of spending... But we no longer need to worry about money. Give it 5 years and Everton will be unrecognizable to the Current one.
yes mate, I'd like to believe that, but a professional lifetime of swimming with wealthy sharks has lent me an ocean of cynicism

So all the effort to get a new stadium has cost nowt then?
Tarting up Goodison was free?
Sacking Bobby?
Buying Koeman
Buying Walsh

75 million "sponsorship" of finch farm
Lifting corporate debt from banks - granted it is with Moshiri and is not gone

All for nothing?

True,

But big action needed in the playing squad this window if our real intention is to have a go at top 4. Because in reality our squad is 7th place at best.

point 1...part of the real estate play
2) really?...a 4 mio tart up as contingency....keep the plebs happy and upbeat
3) protecting the interim/ conduit investment vehicle...Martinez would have destroyed it.
4) see point 3
5) meh

6) over 5 years....the asset play (waterfront development) requires some quasi-equity
7) it's still debt

I think this summers spending (not including the monies brought in from sales )will say alot . This will be the 3rd window with mosh in charge. We need to spend big to have a go at top 4.

I agree wholeheartedly. We might accurately determine real intent over this next 2-3 months.
I do not enjoy sounding like a kill-joy on GOT, but I have some experience in the mind -set of the very wealthy with regard to investment. If an altruistic outcome is fulfilled on realisation of said, 9 times out of 10, that is serendipiditous.

Instead of all that nonsense, just a simple "I accept he has spent money" would have sufficed.

I tried google translate on that. Nothing found. I concur.

I do concur my fellow squire

Abramovich has invested in Chelski via interest free loans - which amounts to well over a billion. He can ask for the loan to be repaid at any time. He's not blown his own money, who would do that?

He hasnt blown his own money, you are indeed correct, cos when it comes to selling the club, he will get MOST of it back.

You only have to look at Usmanovs bid for Arsenal, 1.3bn for 60%.
