Chicken and egg scenario with him and Lukaku. Lukaku needs the quick ball in behind, whereas Barkley needs to thread things together intelligently and not always look over the shoulder. They're not made for eachother.

In my view, Barkley has the higher ceiling in terms of potential at the highest levels, so I'd rather build a team around Barkley than Lukaku. I know you rate Lukaku, so that's where we differ.

Well my pov on Barkley is that he's best played in a CM role, but that wont happen here - it'd happen a club with a much better defence than this shambles we have here.

Defo. The Echo are full of plagiarists and club lackeys. The BU lot will doubtless have much more intimate knowledge of the boy and his family and have learned something that is being saved only for spinning purposes over night and tomorrow morning.

I for one feel much happier with the situation now. I see us with RB for years to come. He's potentially much more important than any manager.
