Isn't his release clause £6m (Ramirez). I don't think we can offer over the odds for each and every target but at that fee, we could offer him a bit in excess in wages, especially if we are up against Atletico Madrid.

This will be the theme of the summer again, having to beat off competition, but that's how its going to be for good players.

Or 6m and give him a 10m signing on fee or whatever ... making it a 16m signing which is still cheap in today's market... i have never seen him and not saying we should sign him.. but if koeman thinks he's good enough and isn't just interested because of the release Claus then 16m isn't a lot of money these days

Hot in demand Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru has played down rumours linking him with a host of clubs by narrowing the chase for his signature in the summer to just three clubs.

19 year old Onyekuru has emerged as the bride of many teams in Europe due to his goal scoring exploits this season at modest side Belgian side Eupen ‎in his first season in the top flight.

The Nigerian who has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season is heavily linked with a move to four English teams in Crystal Palace, Everton, West Brom and Southampton.

Teams in Germany have also been linked with the forward, but speaking to Voetbalkrant Onyekuru said there’s every possibility of him joining either Everton or fellow Belgian side Anderlecht or Club Brugge in the summer.
” I truly don’t have anything to say for now regarding my possible destination in the summer. I’m sure I won’t be at Eupen. Everton, Club Brugge or Anderlecht? It’s possible I join one of the three in the summer”, he told Voetbalkrant.

I figure if we have genuine interest in Sandro, then we could be looking at 4 forward players next season - add Klassen to that you have Mirallas, Bolasie, Klassen and Sandro (Deulofeu, who knows?).

That's nicely rounded for me. Probably looking at two strikers if and when Rom leaves, and DLC maybe the other option. Leaves us with 6/7 decent players vying for 3 starting positions.

Klaassen is very much a midfielder mate (albeit an attacking one ;) )

I think Koeman wants the real width to come from the full backs whilst the two "wide" players in the system tuck inside a bit - much like the system they use across the park. It's one of the reasons we've looked so toothless at times since Coleman got injured.

Klaassen - I'm pleased people disagree with me about him. Makes me a little bit more optimistic. My issue is that I think we're lacking goals and creativity from the midfield unit and the attacking unit (barring Rom), Klaassen looks a good player and absolutely looks like he'll add goals from midfield and I can imagine he would be a really good addition especially away from home with the timing of his runs etc. I just worry, based on only seeing him a few times, that despite his assists stat, he doesn't look capable of providing that really creative spark from midfield in the manner that Tielemans has done this season (although I accept it looks like that ship has already sailed to Monte Carlo).

I completely understand this. The thing is Klaassen linking the midfield to the attack is just as valuable as say Everton getting Juan Mata and having his through balls contribute to the attack.

I think we may well benefit from a supporting three of say, gylfi, mata and klaassen, in a ideal world of course !
There are two types of playmakers I think, the fabregas/silva/mata types, then there is the Klassen/Naismith types who are more busy without the ball making late runs, pass and move etc...
