Haha as much as FM and FIFA get slated on here they're rarely wrong when predicting which kid will turn out to be class. Mbappe was on FIFA16 as a 16 year old with silly potential and look at him now. Can't think of too many players it coughs up that end up terrible.

Oh hi there.

Or, if we get a 27 year-old, make him like Schneiderlin, who has had a big move that hasn't worked out and grabs the opportunity to play and make up for lost time.
There is also that as well, yeah! But i can't imagine too many quality players are in that position and wouldn't be chased by higher up clubs. YOu never know though.

Its usually mental atributes that makes these lads fail, and scouts cant see that at 16-21 really.

What are you on about now?

I'm not saying we're going to spend 100s of millions (not that I did last year either) or that Rom won't go or perhaps even Barkley.

What I am questioning is how you've taken comments from both management and club directors etc saying we will invest in the squad, and turned that into a negative?

Wait and see. As always. The season isn't over yet and no side can 'officially' sign a player until July 1.

We've already sold Cleverley and will have most of the other deadwood out of the door as well. Koeman knows what he wants and they'll do all they can to get those players in.

I didn't make any reference to comments by management or club directors. I simply made the accurate obversation that there are similarities between now and this time last year in that Rom wants away and there is an expectation, amongst some, of a big summer of net spending.
I posited the possibility that, as last year, neither of these things may happen so it may be unwise to assume that they will.

Maybe I misunderstood the tone of your posts, so if so, I apologise.

It's clearly too quick to judge either way, though the way it was written appeared to suggest it had already happened...
