VVD and Koulibaly are brilliant players without doubt, but to me the are simply too expensive at 50M+.
Using some of the more commonly discussed players in these pages..... For ~50M you can have:
VVD.....
or.....Manolas AND Maguire
or.....De Virj AND Gibson
or even....Keane AND Sigurdsson
I would prefer any of those 3 combinations to just VVD or Koulibaly.
(says this realizing that in all likelihood we will sign none of the players above)

He hasn't played for them since about November and the likes of Navas have got in ahead of him, I don't think they'd be that keen to keep hold. He's crap though that's the problem.

If he could get about and score a few in the process i would be made up to get him. Scored loads in a lower league so the second striker mould of Beckford for us for example would be a good option to have in the squad. Would he be our star striker? no he wouldn't, but then he wouldn't be signed to be that.
