I lose the plot every time he gets the ball, stops it dead, stands still and then does his little 'what way am i going to go' fakes. They do sometimes serve a purpose but he seems to do it all the time no matter the situation. It's got to the point where it's now annoying me as much as Bolasies signature step over routine.

He is supposed to create options. How many times did he lose the ball? What forward balls did he make?

He slows everything down.. he had a great chance to shoot from a Lookman cutback but no he has to fanny around as if he
were in a five-a-side. Thank God he no longer takes the corners.

It's a clause in his contract, gets a bonus for 4 touches or more on each possession. Seriously, Koeman should be clamping down on that if he hasn't done so already. No more than two-touch football in training!

Has he got a clause in his contract that he only turns up at home?

Don't know why but never really seen the fuss about Barkley. Yes he is a good player but he blows more cold than hot and the comments from some that say he doesn't have a footballing brain are not without merit. I think he is definitely more of an instinct player and alot of his descisions he makes on the pitch reflect those views. I may get crucified for saying it as his performances have got better from the start of the season and everyone seems to love him but I'm really not arsed if he signs a new contract. There are definitely better players out there that would be more effective in his role and we just need to bite the bullet and spend the money to get them.
I really don't think Koeman rates his massively either...he's just the best he's got at the moment.

Another laboured away performance.

I hope he stays but for the wages and contract he will be angling for he really needs to take these sorts of fixtures by the scruff of the neck.

Hope he stays though but I also hope we can bring in proper competition for his place.

Funny the way he has an off game and posters that haven't been in this thread for months dive in both footed. Bar maybe Jagielka, Williams and Lookman, everyone was equally awful today

The stick he gets is actually insane. You're exactly right.

Whenever we don't play well it's always Barkey's fault.

I must have missed Kevin Mirallas playing like Ronaldinho today for him to get away Scott free. Amongst all the others you mention.
