Do you really think that 'kin idiot would research a story about a footy player when he cant get basic facts about anything else in place? Here's what he thought: "I know, I'll have a pop at footballers and Scouse footballers in general" (hence the inclusion of Rooney in that pulled photo). He's thught it a great idea to use the type of crude illustrations that have worked down the years to defame anyone who isn't middle class and British as a knuckle dragger. It was a class attack if anything. Just on that alone Anderson should have gone to bat, but he had to widen it out from that for some reason. It comes to something when Joey Barton probably got the weight of the situation as primarily a class one quicker than Uncle Joe did....that's the Uncle Joe currently using his twitter account to attack Everton by the way...our stadium partner. Apparently we've stabbed the city in the back according to Joe. Nice.

You're ability to misjudge almost any situation is usually annoying but when it comes to race maybe your best just shutting your mouth. the article is racist and offensive and your usual petty digs at the club I love aside on this occasion behave yourself because this is something different.

Dave, while I understand we're you're coming from, but a mayor won't have any authority on what shops can or cannot sell, and threatening people, with regards to planning applications, is straight up illegal
I covered that.

So Anderson can talk a good game from the sidelines and encourage the world to condemn Everton for not dealing with a certain rag's journalists, but he (the crusader and witchfinder general) wont even rattle the sabre at a few hundred newsagents in the city?

What a guy.

WTF are you talking about. It's been covered in a coherent non-senasationalist way.

How can he determine what people sell in their shop?? And it's not just newsagents because I'm sure some huge British shops like Smiths, Tesco and Asda still stick the rag.

He a politician, the only thing he can do is use his media profile to highlight the issues and keep pushing that way

Has the feller that wont do anything illegal looked at Everton's legal situation regarding this? Another question: is he banning SKY from the city of Liverpool too or is that ok because it generates loads of cash into the city via football interest and therefore fits into his trickle down economics?

You know, just in the interests of consistency.

Have no idea what SKY have got to do with anything; the link to that rag and that horror of human being has gone back 30 years. 30 years of fighting to clear the names of innocent people.

If you want a person of authority to TELL people what they can or cannot sell on their business premises then maybe a more communist state maybe best for you

Got to feel for Barkley here. Poor lad just can't get on with playing Football. He's suffered the past couple of years from a ridiculous amount of expectation on his shoulders and has at times struggled with it. Starts playing boss again consistently then has the week from hell for non football related matters. Hope he keeps his head up.

Think his initial reaction to the McKenzie drivel was fine.

But I do have issues with the second tweet.
