Computer games.

I've just finished Sherlock Holmes The Devils Daughter last week and moved onto Sherlock Holmes Crimes and Punishments. Both games use the Unreal Engine so graphics are decent.
Gameplay is decent and the cases are well constructed. Decent games if you're stuck for something to play.

Can't make up my mind about Mass Effect Andromeda, it looks stunning and seems to be a decent game so far, early doors though but it's solid, I guess I do like it.

Gets better and better as you play. Lots of different worlds which all look great. A good roster of characters who get fleshed out nicely as you spend time with them/do their missions, and good combat helped by the choice of abilities.

It starts slow but once you're off Eos and seeing the other worlds it gets much better I assure you.

So...Persona 5?

I have always wanted to get into the Persona games but have never got round to them for one reason or another.

I am into old school RPGs mainly (Old Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire series, Suikoden etc) so has anyone got the game and what do they think?

I am a bit adverse to paying £55 or whatever it is for the game but is it worth it?

It's absolutely not something I will ever ever play.

But, from speaking to people who are into that sort of thing, and what @RFUS said on here it's apparently absolutely unreal.

55 quid?!? I got a disc copy for 42.

Worth every penny either way as it's over 100 hours long. And I'd recommend it highly. Best JRPG since well, persona 4. It takes a few hours to get going, but once it does so it doesn't stop. You start playing and then look at the clock and 8 hours have gone and you don't know what happened or how.

I can't imagine any fan of jrpgs, certainly old school ones, not liking it. Every Persona game has improved and polished the formula but as each is standalone there has never been a better time to get into the series. And don't just take my word for it. 94 on metacritic and I think the worst review is an 8.5/10?

I play mostly JRPGs.

I didn't think it could possibly top P4/P4G but holy bleeping s@# the game is so good. Only 1/3 of the way in and its possibly the best game I ever played. Its got more of an old school-ish turn based battle system but its so stylish and so fun.

Yay, someone else playing it!

It is easily the most stylish game I've ever played. The colour schemes, the soundtrack, the ludicrously good UI and menu screens.

I am partial to turn based combat but I could see some who aren't, still enjoying that too, as there are so many cool mechanics. From the 1 more system to holding up enemies for cash, or just killing them all to the most outrageously stylish cutscenes.

I also love that, just like other Persona games, it has a dark story. A lot of JRPGS have really clichéd stories and characters that don't ever deal with real problems, just fighting the evil overlord to save the world using nothing but your overly large sword and impractical hair. Persona deals with suicide, sexual abuse, sexuality issues etc. The characters always seem like archetypes at first but they have such good backstories and character development that you usually adore them all by the end.

Anyway, why am I talking about it when I could be playing it ffs.
