I think losing barkley will be a bigger loss than losing lukaku.

What sort of statement does it say when you cant keep hold of one of your own?

Lukaku was brought up to go career first. Thats the mentality for a young belgian. Play for your hometown club, move on, then keep going until you are at the elite.

Barkley on the other hand it is different, english kids are not brought up that way. They are expected to show loyalty in some sort of way.

If we cant keep him what message does that say to pogential targets and players who were sold the dream to come to everton...like schneiderlin

You might mate but look around the forum, most are obviously bothered but it's not the level of meltdown as when Rooney left. That's all I said and it's probably down to the fact we have Davies. What part of my original post said it was fine for him to leave. I think you've read my comment and taken something from it that I just didn't say. I literally made no comment about the outside perception of the club. All I said is fans probably aren't as bothered about loosing one of our own as we have more then one of them now. I agree with everything you said

Barkley to Spurs is Rubbish. He's not taking Alli's place ffs. If he's happy sitting on the bench there then maybe he'll go otherwise he'll be playing out wide which doesn't really suit him
Sissoko and Jansen didn't work out for Pochettino. I can see him cutting his losses and bringing and making Alli more of an out and out striker and bringing in another creative player that can, with Eriksen, provide a lot of chances...something Barkley can do as the stats on chances created show.

Both are subs. Barkley won't go there and sit on the bench.

Why are you so determined to sell our players? Is it just so you can say you were right about Moshiri. You really aren't an Evertonian. Nowhere near.

Just don't see this at all. Last few months (since Davies and then Schneiderlin have come in) he's looked at his best for me.

Don't give a flying one what the pundits say one way or the other, in terms of affecting my opinion.
I suppose it's in the eye of the beholder. But no one can tell me this is the explosive talent that arrived on the scene three seasons ago. He's looking more and more ordinary by the game. I'm sure his Kms covered look great like, but he's basically fitting in with a lot of players around him that are 90% perspiration and 10% inspiration.

Barkley is better than that. Much better. And Im guessing the kid knows it.

A lot of what you say is correct but remember the situation we are now in.

We have left it late for whatever reason no idea why assume the club didn't think he was worth it & he has been abused more than any other Everton player in living memory.

Even now there are people saying sell him for Christ sake.

If we offered him a new contract 18 months ago when he was in the sky half season best team & playing very very well remember he was put in by carragher & Neville/Henry over payet then he would have signed the same day.

We havent covered ourselves in glory here & yes Ross has some accountability but ffs we have the sun today calling him
A thick gorilla & our own ex players wrongly saying he hasn't improved since he was 18.

We need to support him back him stick up for him fight for him as for months now he has been for us.

to answer your points as I see it mate

1. yes when he was in form over 12 months ago we should have then offered a new deal. Thank el bobbo for that.
2. He looked absolutely plop from the turn of 2016 to end of 2016 so I wasn't surprised that Koeman hadn't offered him one as he was really pushing him to find some form consistency which he finally now has.
3. I don't think he gets abused. He gets the same stick I hear most players get.
4. not everyone is going to love him and there will be fans who think we can get better and there will be fans who say sell him if he isn't going to sign a new contract.
5. don't give a f*** what the Sun say, utter joke of a paper so doesn't mean anything.
6. I'd say 99.9% of Everton supporters back Ross and the majority want him to sign, myself included. If he doesn't then he can move on and we get someone else in sharpish.
