Poll: Should we attempt to tie Ronald Koeman to a new, improved contract like we did with Martinez?

Should we try to tie down Koeman for longer asap?

I reckon mosh has given him three years to get in the champions league and if he doesn't make it he'll be shown the door and the next cab on the rank will take his place. I though would like to see a new contract offered in the middle of next season if we are continuing with our improvement and then if we miss out on champions league in the first three years it can be looked at again . So it wouldn't cost us a fortune to get rid but we would still have an element of continuity.

He wouldn't go for it anyway - strikes me he's happy doing his job on his current terms, and will reassess whether another contract suits him, or I'd he wants to stay at the end of this deal.
He strikes me as a fella who plays with a straight bat, and doesn't play daft games.

This is part of what i hate about modern football, the bipolar nature of nature of fans today is beyond ridiculous. After a few losses a manager is the biggest idiot to ever walk the earth and isn't fit to manage a Sunday league outfit. A few good results later after a bit of a winning streak he's the greatest thing to walk the earth and we're lucky to have him because Barcalona and Real Madrid will soon be scratching each other's eyes out to steal him from us! Seriously half of you singing his praises right now will be screaming for his head should we lose to Burnley at the weekend!

A good example of this would be the OP @mixed_up who today wants to give Big Ron a bumper contract after one season... :bye:

it's actually enough for me to want Koeman out.

totally in sync with anyone who is a proper evertonian and finds Koeman's stance an insult. eff off back to Southampton where you belong.

I was totally behind him before this. find him a loser now. so much for his tweets and 'proud to be manager of everton'' LIES

Martinez let himself down in the last two seasons but he was never like this.

7th is nothing. Even Roberto could have got us 7th with about 5 more wins.

The last comment is the last they made in the Koeman thread in January. What are you doing? lol You are so impressed with him that you wanna give him a contract extension but you haven't found the time to post in his thread since that comment dismissing our league position half way through his first season?

Savage.

No...because it'll stand in his way of becoming Barcelona, Juventus or Real Madrid manager.

We have to be realistic and understand that the manager of the 7th placed team in the PL will be head hunted sooner rather than later.
