It was the inland revenue at one time on one floor, also did you do your driving test there as my late father in law failed his motorbike test down there as his bike wheels got stuck in the tramlines and he went off in the wrong direction failed it for thatlol

My great great grandfather was a branch union leader on the docks back in the day and had his dinner on one of the clock faces before it was raised into place. I resent the fact this civic asset is "owned" by any one man.

My nan worked there in the 60's and the wife worked there in the 80's and I don't give a tinkers cuss who owns it so long as they don't knock it down or turn it into a Travelodge but the fact that it's Moshiri and it winds up the other lot then that makes me happy.

Yes, I do know and the fact that it never has been , which is why it's called the Liver building after the insurance company who originally owned it. Which is why I said in an ideal word it would be.
