Just think for a second.

How would this place react/feel if in the last few weeks, that lot had got a ground sort of sorted on the docks, then their owners bought the Liver Building, with apparently their offices being in it. Certainly associated with them anyrate.

Then take a sip of tea, ale, rum.

Then realise THAT is what Mr Moshiri appears to have pulled off. In about 12 months. (Give or take a few years before we all knew like).

Then think of West Ham, and their negotiators extrodinaire, the Dildo Twins and Dame Kazza Baddly. Saddled their lot with a ground they hate, with a name they cant control, but, hey, they get a few bob from the naming rights.

Anyrate, that massive stand near Stanley Park is something eh? Like, really, really something else.

Moshiri seems to be a class guy. You don't control what opportunities present themselves to you, but you can control what you do with your opportunities. And West Ham really is a huge joke.

Yeah, I get that, but to us on the ground - nada. As fans, we probably don't give a toss about the image of the club - we'll love them no matter what.

At the end of the day, we're playing catch up in a massively corporate game. While this may not exactly move the needle to another level, it can have a trickle down effect in the long run.

Big shiny new building = better image = better potential sponsors and people who want to be involved with the club = better revenue = better players = better Twitter announcement pictures of players signing contracts with the Mersey and new Stadium behind them.

I'm welling up...

Not looked if this been covered but could we use the building/liverbird in any branding we potentially do going forward?

Liverpool have an office in the building opposite the pig and whistle. It's where they do their business other than at the ground and melwood, or... Mount Doom and Isengard.

Moshiri isn't soft, he's just bought arguably the most iconic building (other than football stadia) in the North West, never mind merseyside. This is where we will do our business now.

People will now see the Liver Buildings and think 'Everton'. In a few years they'll look down the road and be reminded again.

I realize there would be a lot of contrivances to make the whole liverbird copyright thing happen and it never actually would, but thinking there's even a .00001% chance of that "we're going to build a stadium and make kopites pay for it" photoshop actually being true makes me so happy.

Last time I looked he is the majority shareholder for Everton :coffee:

He's only just gone and bought the most iconic , famous piece of the City's history on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey.

means nowt really.......
Methinks one doth present a facetious tone upon inferring aforementioned musings.

You are a tease, sir.
