Ronald Koeman discussion

Let's look at the positives.

We only got beat by a two goal margin. Last year it was 4. Koeman's managed to halve it in his first season. Plus he played the kids.

Probably realises that Pennington and Holgate were garbage, so is protecting them..

Either way, it's been a bit of an embarrassing day for Everton overall...

I like Koeman but ffs lad was you watching the same game as me.

Not often I've thought he got it wrong but today he did.

Major cock ups today, could understand his team due to circumstances pre game, however that went out of the window early doors, managed somehow to drag ourselves into it,change it now I thought, they were picking pockets of space in our final third that Gueye alone couldn't cover,we needed legs in there, maybe go back to a four and switch Holgate to midfield even?no change and before we know it they've picked that space again and are in for 2-1,change it at half time please,no,wait til we're 3-1 down then we change it when it's too late, same old, same old I'm afraid.

When you talk up your team the day before as previously being afraid before he arrived here, you better make sure the performance the next day is focussed and impressive.

He needs to learn from that. Quickly.

Truth of the matter is right now we are flat track bullies. Bossing West Brom at home and having a great home record is one thing. Being contenders at the top end of the league and matching the bigger guns is another thing entirely
