I am an Irish blue and I think O Neill has mad a dogs dinner of this and should keep quiet and let it pass quietly.

The player has not been fit for a number of weeks , he has missed the last couple of matches for Everton before the international break and even Roy Keane said he was extremely doubtful about three days before the game.
McCarthy never even got to play , he only made it to the warm up which tells you how far off fitness he really was.
We will see how long it takes to get back to play for Everton as he didn't pick up a new injury , but instead felt the old one and pulled out.

People actually calling for @davek to be banned.

Wow.

If you don't like what he says put him on ignore, but don't play the ref.
Unfortunately putting him on ignore doesn't work, as you still have to trawl through page after page of other people (quite rightly) pointing out his errors and hypocrisy.

If it was just the occasional thread (say, like the one in World Football devoted to Martinez) it wouldn't be an issue. After all, this forum is for all opinions on everything Everton. The problem is that so many different threads end up the same way, all thanks to the attention seeking of one particular poster.

Why should one person be allowed to continuously ruin thread after thread with the same negative, largely unsubstantiated bile?

Why does one poster attract so many people wanting to play the ref and act a mod. Just simply skim past his replies if you can't ignore him. If many more did, or debated his points instead of crying about it, every thread would have half the posts it has too.

The problem is they can't handle his views in a correct manner.

Come on now !

I have to agree that it's shocking how much it ends up dominating the forum.

I respectfully disagree :-)

Many people have used quality rhetoric to out-debate him, and he just shifts his 'argument' to a tiny irrelevant technicality. Like Finchy in The Office when he loses the pub quiz on a tie-break ('you said the first person to shout out the answer wins - do you see my point?'). It never ends.

If you skim past his replies, or people replying to his replies, you end up spending more time scrolling than you do reading. It makes for a disappointing forum experience...

As previously stated, if a new forum member acted like this they'd be banned and accused of being a Kopite.

I don't actually want him banned, I just want him to stop ruining every thread and be a bit more supportive of our team and manager.
