The feller was asked 18 months ago about what team he'd like to manage. Given that we are Everton FC, Liverpool's greatest rivals, how is his stating 'Liverpool' my act of "wummery"?

He said it didn't he? It's news that an Everton manager wanted to manage them so short a time period ago. Did I make that up?

We employed someone that actually interviewed for the job though didn't we? We only have Bobby's word that he turned it down, I reckon they rumbled him straight away and told him thanks but no thanks.

As a football mad lad in Holland, the only English team he would ever see on TV would be those in Europe, and lets face it, that lot were pretty good at that lark back then.

But it suits your agenda to dig out an 18 month Q&A on a Southampton forum, (that beggars belief on its own), to label an Everton manager as a Kopite.

A non game going cry arse, who has not one good word for the club and was only happy when Martinez was embarrassing us as a fan base week in week out. Something doesn't seem right. Happy when we lose, throw tantrums like a petty point scoring teenager when we are winning.

If Martinez went for the interview, even flying stateside, then that would suggest he too wanted it. That doesn't take a genius to figure out.

What would be the reaction over there if Koeman did get the job (unlikely as that is)? I suppose he'd get a good welcome because of that EC win back in the 90s. But would the cognoscente be wary?
