Crazy but it just didn't work out for us. We don't play the system for him and defenders get too tight.
He's changed the game for Spain here though, looked quality in all he's done. I'd have liked him, Ross and Lukaku to be the future but he's not liked by Koeman and that's that.

Think in the pre - season he played down the middle and looked useful, chased everything down.
Always thought he should have had more of a run in the team playing through the middle.

He did initially but then got pulled away from the position after a game where he looked out of place, Barnsley was it?
Not sure to tell you the truth mate, just remember him playing in the middle in a couple of games and looked decent, always looked good there for Spain's U21s.

Agreed, he's always been the main man at that age there.
It'll be interesting to see how he develops in the next few years, can't see it being at our place though.

Hardly. The manager has basically said he's not wanted. He's come out and said he doesn't want to come back as we made it difficult for him. He's come out and said he wants to play for Milan next year. He has a buy back clause with Barca for pittance. He now plays and scores for the Spanish national side.
He's ours in name but we will never see him in the Royal Blue again. Unfortunately.

Even if Koeman did change his mind (he won't...) i doubt Deulofeu is going to want to come back. Look at whats happened to his career since leaving Everton... He plays regularly for one of the most famous clubs in world football and is now getting picked for spanish national team and scoring !
