Maybe we should have two running threads.

-The Post Loss Fumeaggedon Thread
-The Post Win How High Will We Finish Thread

Would make for some fun reading/vaulting I reckon.

...I do find it funny how folk react after a win or a loss. Nobody posts the negative stuff after a win but after a defeat it's like the end of the world. Similarly, after a win we get threads like this. Human nature I suppose.

Fact is we're actually in the top 6 now, not just hoping to close the gap.
I wouldn't have made this thread otherwise.

Like others have said, we need 3-4 points from the games against the RS and UTD. Big ask.

Another issue is UTD have 3 games (if you included tomorrows game) on us

Nothing to lose - prefer to be the ones chasing tbh. We are expected to lose both which could work in our favour...if we're up for it - and that is the big question as neither of them teams are anywhere near as good as in the past. Arsenal are the same...beatable

What a run we are in. Spurs was a big one. I thought we stood off in that one when we should have had a real go. Difficult now but would be great if we could start a real go by beating the halfies

Man U play Boro tomorrow and there other 2 games in hand are against Man City and Southampton.

Arsenals 2 games in hand are against Sunderland and Southampton, not sure it's Southampton though, think it could be West Ham.

Nope mate, the Arsenal game against sunderland hasn't happened yet - it is postponed due to FA cup though (which means they will drop a game behind us again and have another game in hand at that point), the current games in hand they have are against Saints away and Leicester at Emirates

I doubt it but still nine games to play. If we have genuine aspirations of a top six place then we need to take four points off the next two games.

A tough ask like.

Tend to agree, although two draws could very well keep us in the mix - just can't afford to lose to either as it'd be a 6 point swing which is huge at this point.

IF we actually get a win and draw from those games (with the win being at the pit) then top 4 becomes a genuine chance - obviously moreso if United and the rs both lose today ofc.

Are they now allowed to play these rearranged matches on UCL nights?. If not they could have a fixture problem by the time they get to play us.
