Our best player by far and the only everton player who looked on the same level as the best spurs players in terms of technique and ability to keep the ball. He's very talented, the myth of him always giving the ball away needs to die... his ball retention skills are the best they've been, he's outstanding nowadays.

I can see why he was linked to spurs, i hate to say it but he'd fit in perfectly for them. We need to get him some better team mates ASAP.

I'm a big supporter of Barkley but I don't think we can say he's fully eliminated that from his game at this stage. He was very good today, and has been in good form lately but I still see him making naive decisions on the ball at times, and giving it away (not today).

Pleased with him today though and not just the stuff on the ball. He battled well to win a few challenges which is a good sign too.

I have been very critical of Ross and the progress he has or hasn't made but recently and today in particular I thought he was very good, better than Alli on the day although Spurs were better.

I think Ron is finally getting through to him.

The attack.

He has Rom, who is also young and inconsistent, and then a whole list of players who are poor, average, young or also inconsistent. Our full-backs are good in attack, when in form but are not as consistent an outlet as they would have been a few seasons back.

And its the attack where he needs outlets or players on the same wavelength.

Just look at Kane, Alli, Eriksson and Dembele and how they interchange and play off each other....and then add the fast and skillful Walker and Rose to that.

People are saying he will look even better with more quality up there with him. I agree.

I hope to god the upgrades come in the summer.....because Kev, Kone,Valencia, Davies, Deulofeu, Bolasie and Lennon are not going to make us a top attacking outfit and make proper use of Ross/Rom.

The exception proves the rule. 5 corners or more against Sunderland- all crap. His corners just never pose a threat.
Never hit with accuracy, mostly fail to beat the first man or plays it short and screws it up. The free kick on the edge of the box when he played a hospital to Miralles..
