informal
verb
NORTH AMERICAN
past tense: nixed; past participle: nixed
  1. put an end to; cancel.
"he nixed the deal just before it was to be signed"
North American stole loads of European and Yiddish words, then continued to spell the English words wrong. The biffs

He's a fraud. He won the league with Lester and we haven't won any leagues since he's been here. Like zero leagues, not even the xmas league or august league like the RS do. Sack.

We're going to win the under 23 league mate

Not really keen on Walsh.

If you look at the facts, he signed a new contract with the league champions and within a few weeks resigned and came to us. This questions his loyalty. Also he has just left the league champions as they are about to start the campaign in the Champions League.

Now, most people want to compete in that elite competition for the glory, but he's turned his back on that for the money.

I accept it, he's a mercenary like Koeman and if someone offers them a huge wage increase they will be out the door in a flash. As long as they do a good job, that's all that matters in the end.

That's an incredibly cynical outlook - on the other hand his brother played for us in the 70's and maybe he always wanted to be here. It's easy to say "it's for the money" but look what he walked away from to be here.

At least Koeman's doing a decent job.

At the time, recently crowned champions of the country embarking on a Champions League tour.

Face facts, he did it for the money.

If we somehow by a miracle qualified for the Champions League and Bill Gates bought West Ham and offered an incredible deal for Rom to join them, which he accepted.

What would you say motivated Rom to join?
