ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

And he's running his backside off, for a team that will win it, so that's 6 or 7 games in 5 weeks in 30+ degrees. The slump started whilst he was there. Sunderland away, even the Derby I don't think they're winning that if we don't suffer two unlucky injuries.
I've never rated him anyway. He's ok-ish but hardly the world beater they build him up to be.

I think we should all hold back a bit from thinking it's safe to rip them - we know how their pact with The Devil works.

They beat Chelsea midweek and they'll be all over it again like a rash. THe fact that he rested so many means they'll be fresh and raring to go - we all know how this works.

Let's keep our powder dry, eh?
Chelsea are a far far far better team.
Their Manager ain't no mug and will have them well sorted.

Beat Swansea.. close in on Chelsea
Beat Saints ... off to Anfield South to beat dem Mancs
Beat Wolves ... last 16 of the FA Cup

Chelsea at home ... chance to close the gap to 4 points..

So far so good... (well not from their point of view I grant you but that can't be helped). Perhaps they'll get the consolation prize of Stevie Me Manager soon. This lunchtime (at 0-2) I'm in The Everyman and I hear two of them discussing the latest score (me, naturally, big beaming smile). Suggested it could be worse - Stevie could be your manager. Both of them, without any justification, said they thought he'd make an excellent manager. Quite what they base that on is beyond me! Club legend? Yeah, ok, bring it on.

Senegal get through here and they miss Mane until at least Feb 10 (as do we with Gana)

Seems clubs are working out how to play the rs. They are the best pressing team right now so clubs are not allowing them to press by letting them have the ball and counter attak them.

Today epitomises their arrogance. Either Klopp over rates his peripheral players or he under estimates the strength of the opposition. He needs to realise that their name means nothing anymore. Just because they are at home doesn't mean they have the ability to turn sides over who are intimidated by the occasion.

Let's face it, the Wolves keeper wasn't pulling saves out of his backside to keep the plucky underdogs in it. They were outplayed - Lambert knew what they'd do, prepared his team accordingly and were worthy winners. It could have been more.

Forget the hype and sound bites about the weather, atmosphere, early LP or the ref. Klopp picked a team to win and was found out.

Now, for me, it's up to Koeman and Everton to turn up there with a plan to win. Our record over there is embarrassing, they are what they are, no mystery, no great shakes. I just want us to turn up for once and have a real go.
