Joel looks a very solid keeper with a proper defence in front of him. Think this through logically lads.
Let's say an average keeper makes one world-class every game.
Last season we were facing shots in the double digits on our goal every game.
Even if he made a few world-class saves, there would be so many shots he'd have to face that one of them is bound to go in.
Now however, he only faces a few shots a game, which allows him to make good quality saves and allows us to trust him as a sound keeper.
It's really got nothing to do with the keeper. It's the defence that's massively improved and is one of the best in the league again.
