It's based on the fact that Del has been bombed out wherever he has gone, his only successes really being with Spain U21's. Lookman sounds the real deal and looks good on the clips we have seen of him.

People have spoken about his modesty and his professionalism, not a bad place to start from.

It is based on nothing more than a hunch.

On his best day Del is unplayable and has set the EPL alight with his mazy runs, pinpoint crosses and scored a few goals..

Lookman has played in the third tier.

He may well turn out to be a world beater but to say you will bet that he will be "twice the player" is just absurd and that he will have "twice the application" is a real shot in the dark.

The type of punter William Hill loves to see coming in the door

Doubt it, their attitudes are spot on, this lad has more talent than both but can't get near any club he's played for first team on a consistent basis. Still no one has explained why that is, other than the obvious.

He's 22. He'll be inconsistent. You can explain every club he's been at as to why he doesn't play.

Barca - not at that level
Everton loan - injury.
Seville - change of system, not willing to nurture a loan player
Everton perm - fitness, form 2nd half of the season (Lennon did excellent when he played)
Everton 3rd season - Manager doesn't like any of our wingers. Prefers power and strength.

They're just excuses, if he's as good as being made out, now way would any manager bin him off and risk replacing him, as all transfers are risks.

He's another Bojan, float around with the tag of the next big thing before finding a nice club that he'll play 1 in 5 and they'll laud him like Pele

I like the lad, I really do but he can't cut the mustard unfortunately. I'd love home to have a massive wake up call but i can't see it

Are they? Seem valid reasons to me.

Right now Koeman doesn't like him as a type of player. He's the only Manager really to bin him off.

Emry replaced him with a wingback who then signed for Barca after winning the Europa League. So he was justified enough.

Stopped reading there

Does all the off the pitch stuff wonderfully the eitc stuff and showing fans his hearts in it etc

Problem is he just can't do it on the pitch odd flash here and there doesn't and shouldn't warrant a start and has he ever got 100%fit ?

With nothing major to play for, surely rather than loan him out, we'd be better off giving him a run of games in a make or break scenario. If he finally kicks on, great. If not, it'd have to be a heart-breaking goodbye.

Would keep him personally... McCarthy as well.

Ship out Gibson, Cleverly, Lennon, Kone and Naisse... I wouldn't lose any sleep over Besic and Mori either to be honest.
I'd prefer to give Besic another shot to get pver his injuries, and keep mori because left footed cbs aren't too common... as well as jags and williams being old.

Agree with the rest, you forgot mcgeady though!

I don't know how you managed to get away with posting that without the Besic worshipers going mental. He tackled Yaya Toure once you know
