EVERTON MOVE FOR MANOLAS

Everton have made an initial approach to Roma for Greece international centre-back Kostas Manolas, according to Sky in Italy.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is keen to strengthen his defence this month and the 25-year-old, considered one of the best centre-backs in Europe, is among his targets.

Manolas has played over 100 times for Roma since a £10.8m move from Olympiakos in 2014 - and he has made 18 appearances this season.

Some of them Manolas links are saying that Roma are interested in signing Deulofeu. I'd be happy to use Deulofeu as a make weight in this deal, especially if it gives us an advantage over other interested clubs.

Manolas would be an incredible signing and a big statement - he's better than Koulibaly and is widely considered as one of Europe's best CBs.

Only question would be if he wanted to come.
