Ronald Koeman discussion

..not really. As I said, I'm not defending him, indeed I've been critical. Saying that, he came in the midst of a window, appointing a DoF. I think it's reasonable to give him a couple of windows now that he's been able to assess what he has.

To be honest, I think we have at best a mid-table squad with mid-table players. I feared we would be fighting at the bottom but I think our points total is adequate in relation to performance. I think the points are as good as we'd get with this group.

It might get worst before it gets better, that's the reality with major change but major change is what we need. Posters understandably get emotive over individuals but let RK get on with his change. If it doesn't work he'll be out but we were going nowhere anyway. I won't approve of everything he does but it's his gig, let him get on with it and we can judge with more certainty in 12 moths time.
That's all I'm saying mate: he might be a good manager and serves us well and proiduce good football that's winning football. But I'm judging him presently, and what I see is an ugly mess of a team and a manager who looks like he makes this tripe up as he goes along. £6M for that!! FFS.

...and how has it improved now with more bodies behind the ball? It hasn't. THAT is the point.

19 PL games and you are having a go at Koeman almost every post. I just know we are sitting in the 7th place. And let's see how the season goes. I have said this many times why do you expect a quick fix in 6 months? We have a minus net spend in the summer. You need to spend and get quality in or else we stay where we are.

We're hours away from 2017 and we have human beings trying to make a case for Roberto Martinez doing a good job at Everton

Ha Ha Ha.

Do me a 'kin favour mate. That useless ginger weapon would have stuck him in goal.

Lol.
Moyes didn't have a particularly good record with strikers. Martinez wanted to Base a team on Barkley and Lukaku- he completely neglected the rest of the squad- from a style point of view. I paid to watch that tripe the last two years. This year hasn't been a great one but I've almost seen more home wins than he managed the whole of last season. Win first- style second.
He's not a top manager but neither is Martinez. Moyes has still finished in champions league. Something neither his successors have managed. Maybe he caught lightning that season, but if he did, Martinez certainly did in his first season. Pains to say, but Moyes has been a better prem manager than Martinez and potentially Koeman. Thems the ultimate facts unfortunately.
