Ronald Koeman discussion

Hoofball is probably all that these players can comprehend. Seriously, it's an unnaturally stupid spineless group of players with zero on pitch leadership. Difficult to do anything with this lot, serious surgery needed in January.
Correct masters of getting themself marked , hence the hoof ball no actual everton player to pass to in midfield.

Amazes me people have faith in the players because we played well YEARS AGO. Every single team has invested 10 times better than we have and made the necessary steps forward. We have the 8th best squad in the league, and most aren't getting better. We got a manager from a team who placed better than us two years running and were on the up.

Koeman hasn't helped himself but to not realise this is the players doing is wrong. Put faith in Walsh, put faith in Koeman and put faith in new signings. The has beens of the previous regime have proved nothing and deserve no let offs at all.

FFS another melt down. Don't win a game and the manager is crap....win a game and its a love in.........fickle is the word I am looking for. Has any manager got a 100% win rate...No!! They must be crap then.
I think the problem at the moment is trying to understand the tactics and style of play.
I thought against Liecester we had found a formation, we kept hold of the ball and we had good energy....it wasn't perfect be we controlled most of the game.
We move forward a few days and he goes back to a formation that we know is lacklustre and pretty ineffective.

I am like most I think he should be given time and he should be allowed patience from the fanbase
I think he will get it right, will it be enough to challenge the top 4......who knows, but I think he will improve us and he will make things difficult for teams to beat us.

I think at the moment there is a frustration, and I can sympathise with this frustration
Only time will tell, but 4 weeks ago I would of bit your hand of to get 7 pts from the last 4 games...but think we lost 2pts today..

At least he had a miss. Valencia does absolutely nothing. Calvert Lewin's excuse is he's a young lad making his 3rd ever appearance, as a sub in the last 20 minutes of the game. How many does Lukaku miss?

It was a free header from 7 yards and he was grinning about it though. Not for me.

As for Koeman, as I said: what was the Mirallas sub in aid of? Anyone?

Wow. The only player that would get near their first eleven is Gueye. The rest don't even get any where near Spurs' squad. Come on now, Southampton have a better squad than us. Arguably Leicester too.

Lukaku would, a confident Barkley would, Coleman would be close, gueye yeah. Centre backs no chance, nor keeper. But my point stands if koemen was getting the best out of his players then I do think we are close to teams like spurs. He's not getting the best out of anyone though. That's fundamentally what his role is, I don't get the excuse of its not his squad. If he can't manage the squad then what kind of manager is he? He should be able to extract better performances and results from what he's got, the players are perfectly capable of more than this. Yes some of the responsibility lies with the players but the manager needs to get things right from the off, putting out the best possible Everton 11 playing to our best formation.

Lukaku is still playing the majority of games with his back to goal. Barry still starting games! Cleverly on the wing for a good period of the season when he's got mirallas and delofeu on the bench. Now he starts mirallas and he looks a threat. He's not helping himself, same as Martinez wasn't. Completely different styles of management bit equally underperforming.

Not him, the manager who left him this mess tho, gladly.

Im willing to give the manager as much time as needed to correct things.
"Corrects things". There was ONE THING he needed to correct: the shape and organisation of the back four. That was it - just that. The rest was working.

He comes in and the back four are even more clueless and lacking in mobility.

Only thing i can think of was to free up the full backs, should have taken gana off for mori and dropped barkley in there

Captain Jags is Roy Keane-like in his capacity to motivate and inspire. Vital that he keeps the armband for the next 2-3 'transitional' seasons. I can only hope and pray that the big clubs don't poach him from us this window.
