I had high hopes for gerry but you have to say that a lad who is that unfit has been completely unprofessional. His talent is undoubted but he needs to have a long look at himself now. With a bit of luck this will be the kick up the backside he needs

I don't think there's any question over his professional approach. He doesn't go out boozing, he integrates well with the community and is a genuinely nice lad.

His attitude on the pitch - not off it - is the problem, or rather the application of the clear talent that he has.

This is what still confuses me. Every time he's played he's pressed from the front very effectively - how many times have we seen him bearing down on the goalkeeper?

And with regards to match fitness, last time he started he played 90 mins and was still playing very well at the end of the match.

The two obvious negatives to his game are things he's obviously worked on MASSIVELY. Just wish we knew what the problem was. Maybe the things he's good are are simply not things that Koeman looks for in players in his position and it's a simple stylistic clash.

Don't think it's just the pressing mate.

He just hasn't been productive on the pitch. Bolasie gets slated on here, yet while fit he always created chances for teammates - so does Barkley in fairness.

Del is class at running down the wing really quickly, but for some reason seems to have forgotten how to get the ball into the box - despite his obvious quality.
