Cleverley is clearly the "new Osman"

Kind of like "New Coke", and about as palatable
hes at least keeping the bench warm at least Geri imo has told RK the football is dire did not make the bench after the Watford game RK has a history of falling out with players at Southampton, Pelle - Mane all dropped to the youth team we had no chance of signing Mane for that very reason!
as I stated their are 8-9 deadwood players to get rid of before Del imo!

Hes so bad Barcelona have a buy back clause FGS he is just a youngster started twice - give me your opinions on our older plodders then like the Stek - Barry etc

Well neither of those are wingers are they mate?

What about when compared against other wingers such as Mirallas, Lennon and Bolasie?

He hasn't provided Kev's goals

He hasn't provided Lennon's work rate

He hasn't provided Bolasie's assists

All three players, whether you like them or not, have staked stronger claims to a starting berth in recent months than he has

That's his competition, not Barry, Stek, Jags, Gibson etc

KM legs have gone past his best - Lennon cannot cross the ball -spends more time as an extra fullback creates little - Bollassie the jury's out, direct no cross or end product, and these have had a game also Bollassie cost too much injured himself falling over critically - worrying so lets have a right go on a player who has had two starts and a very good pre season hey!

I dont understand it Mikey, I like the lad, hes got talent and he always at least looks to make things happen, but his last 3 managers have dropped him from a great height after almost 6months and not once given him a route back in.

At some point you would hope something might click, as you say, maybe in 2 or 3 years he could be a more rounded player, but for now, if hes not in the managers plans, it would be better all round if we moved him on and replaced him with somebody that is.

Agree on the first two points, thats why I feel a loan to Milan (and not some crap Spanish club) if true would help him no end. If he doesnt get games there then I do fear for him as that will be 3 managers who havent trusted him.

I dont want him moved on though, just yet

Mirallas's legs looked really gone when he cut through Leicester's back two for his goal Monday didn't they? Deary me

Lads, shall we buy out the clause to stop Barca buying him back.

Although loving his form right now part of me doesn't want him to be too good. That buy back clause Barca have had me slightly worried

Enjoy him while it lasts, that buy back clause is going to break a lot of Everton hearts. We need him to struggle for a few years, get rid of the clause, give him a 5 year deal and watch him be a direct, theatrical sexy little Catalan.

He won't get in that Barca team. No shame in it. He's here until 2017, at least - that's when they would come back in for him.

I love Del boy. Quality. If he can make less step over and cross even more ball into the box he will be perfect.

He faded after 60/70 mins due to stamina yesterday and should have been replaced earlier.

I said at the time we signed Geri. Stones was discussed as part of that deal.

Joel Robles has a buy back clause as well.

I think there might be a chance they come in for stones and we accept so long as they ditch the buy back clause on deulofeu

I really do hope that Barca never activate the buyback clause as I do think Del is the real deal and can be a world beater. I really do think he has the natural ability to be that good.

anyone know if we can buy out the clause Barcelona wanted in his contract about the buyback clause. Obviously want the lad to have a great season but would hate Barcelona do to us what Real Madrid have done with Morata. Just going to buy him back to sell him on for more...

Makes no sense getting rid of him, would much rather see Lennon or even Mirallas leave. Gentle reminder that we still have McGeady on our books also. Gerry is one of the last players i'd like to see go - can play anywhere along the front line, very young and very direct.
Yes the vultures are out in force lets sell our promsing players , and keep the deadwood they forgot are still on our books!:p

I don't think anyone is having a "right go" to be honest mate, I think most people are being quite fair in regards to this

Del just hasn't delivered a better overall end product than the other wingers this season

Yes, he does certain things better, but when it comes down to everything all together the other three have been comparatively better than him, thus why he's struggled to get into the squad

Both Kev and Lennon have been far more effective for us, even if they technically aren't as proficient skills wise

This doesn't mean Del can't get back in the team, but this whole situation is as much on him as it is anyone else. Fact is that when he's gotten on the pitch this season he hasn't consistently provided a superior end product to the other wingers, so they have been getting picked over him

If Del was knocking it for six every time he was walking up to the crease, I guarantee he'd be in that Starting XI regardless of his relationship with Koeman, which we don't even know if it's bad to begin with

I get it that you're a Del fan, and I admire you for backing your horse, but you're being overly stubborn here IMO, just as you are with your other favourites like Robles. Del has shown nothing to suggest he should be in the team every week based on his current form. It's not as if Lennon and Kev are stinking the joint out either. Kev got a goal against Leicester and Lennon's endeavour was a key part in the win against Arsenal as well as the victory over Leicester

Regardless of them being less flashy or exciting players, the fact remains that as of this moment they are delivering, and that more than anything else is why they keep getting picked whilst Del isn't

I cant understand Koeman. Both Geri and Ross are our most talented players. The manager is tasked to get the best out of them, seems his plan is to get less talented players in to play to his style, hoofball. I think we are in for a rough ride with Koeman with the only positive being a potential new ground.
Geri on his day is fantastic to watch Koeman needs to work out how to get the best out of him
