Gerard Deulofeu

Exactly. We all know I love Deulofeu. Well it's not even. I love showboat players.

But in reality sometimes they're not what a team needs.
A shot at goal v leicester in the worst 45 minutes would have been nice - if RK puts a bad line up tonight lets see it was dire - only in the 2nd half when players who could produce came on pulled him out of the manure!

I've given up Joey. Your overuse of question marks has me beaten.

I think they are completely fine if you have legs and hard works around them to do the dirty work and not expect much defensively from them, unfortunately for us we have Lukaku, Ross, Geri and Mirallas that all dont want to do anything when we have the ball.

Rom is a goalscorer which is why Koeman cant drop him and Ross has the protection of Barry/Gana to clean up his mistakes. I don't know why he favours Mirallas over Geri but we simply cant play all 4 together.

If Deulofeu had the work rate and defensive discipline of Lennon he would be starting every week.

....the problem with Lennon is he offers little going the other way. Deulofeu had an outstanding assists record at one stage but has been a disappointment since. I always think busy players like Lennon flatter because they run around lots, clearly the modern day wide man has to work the entire length of the tram lines but I much prefer somebody with a creative bias.

Sometimes I think we might as well play 2 full backs as play Lennon but I accept the manager is setting his side out to be hard to beat. I'm a big Deulofeu fan but looking at the bigger picture, I have no issue with him being sold.

If we had attacking forwards other than lukaku - or midfielders who got in the box Del would be making goals!
He whipped in balls in the first 20 minutes no forwards in the box why they are plodders apart from Lukaku!
two appearances his last game MOTM v watford as he gave us attacking pace!

I will be sad to see him go,great little player thats annoying as hell sometimes, like when he got to the byline, and instead of crossing trying to come back on the inside and take the same player on to many times, then lose it etc,to only play 2 full 90 min games in the whole year of 2016 or 6 if you go back to the start of last season has mean to something

Agree, if we could merge the 2 it would be fantastic, but while we are struggling, we need players who will fight and give 100%. You would never want Geri if you were involved in a scrap.

Del does have to shoulder his fair share of the blame for things not working out as smoothly as hoped if we're being fair

Yes, the club could have done more in regards to coaching the best out of him and yes he probably should have had more minutes than he's had, but he also needs some self application to address his key areas for development. It's not all a one way street

I'd be happy to keep him and give him some more chances, but I really think he has to make those chances count, and he shouldn't get an infinite amount of them

He's been given the sort of chances and opportunities that a lad like Conor McAlney would have killed for and has never been close to having afforded. He's been given plenty of rope here, if we're being honest
