Gerard Deulofeu

Even after what you read in the other thread as to why he took a break you're still insisting on bringing up he had a break. At first you were amusing Terry, then you were boring, now you're disgusting.
It's sound mate I wouldn't share anything without expecting ridicule.

Let's swerve insecure weird little sick kid defying cowards and focus on the footballing heaven that is Deulofeu for 12 minutes every season.

By Christmas he had the second most assists in the league, second only to Mesut Ozil, and was arguably our most dangerous player aside from Lukaku

Not saying we should not buy any players or keep him forever but for me keeping him is a nobrainer and playing him consistently now, especially that Bolasie is out, should be the case. But, he doesn't fit into Koeman's "style" of sprinting 30 yards to close down a left back who just received a short goal kick

And they were proper "assists" too....the kind which made the goal rather than merely being the last man to touch the ball before the scorer converts it.

Targeted crosses on the head of Rom and delightful, defence splitting passes from central positions that Rom thrived on.

Not the hit and hope kind of balls Bolasie was being lauded for ;)

You cull the gibsons and mcgeadys and cleverlys

Not the 22 year old winger with loads of potential that you bought for 4m and is worth at least 4 times that if not more in today's market

....as I say, I really like the fella but it appears RK doesn't feel the same. I don't object to him getting rid of anybody. The manager has had long enough to judge every player and it's now up to him to make significant change. I'm sure he'd like to move Gibson and Cleverly and quite a few others on. We all have our favourites and Deulofeu is one of mine but the manager has got to do what he feels is right.

The positivity about Barkley is the most frightening thing. I'm beginning to think fans know absolutely nothing about football

Thing is Prev Barkley is a damn good player, technically sound, powerful, 2 footed, he has good attributes. It's up to the coaches and the club to get him showing it more consistently, same could be said of Geri, kids got talent in buckets so why is it not being given a chance. I can't answer these questions because i don't see them day to day. But on his day Magic Yano.

He has been magic in games that have set up for him ie. plenty of open space to run into. But he doesn't have the defensive qualities to be a CM and doesn't seem to have any of the intelligence of an advanced midfielder. When his confidence goes, every basic ability he has on the ball goes with it. The rest of the team need to be purring before he starts looking the part when, in his position, it should be the other way around

It's purely a confidence thing, I can't stress enough how important confidence is for players, some more than others, Ross is a confidence player, that needs differing tactics than blowing him off in public. He would shine with a good man manager, not Martinez who mollycoddled him and did him no favours.

Koeman's 'style' isn't to do that at all.

Koeman's style is for all of the forwards to press high and then get the ball back quickly and play the pretty stuff.

Baffled why we're seemingly slating our manager for it, whereas Klopp got lauded as a genius when he did it?

Del is class, on his day. However, the last time he had a good game was this time last year. That isn;t just down to a lack of game time.
