Good, I was hoping for a thread almost identical to the transfer thread.

1) We don't have £140m to spend in this window.

2) If we DID have £140m to spend, and seven new players came in, we'd have to sell at least four current players to maintain enough room on the payroll. Wages and transfer fees are different.

3) We pretty much need upgrades across the entire squad, and we have beaucoup dead wood to shift. However once Gana leaves for the ACON we have, effectively, no midfield. Schneiderlin needs to be unveiled on January 1st at 9am (preferably holding up a shirt with his name and the number four on it).
 
Can't see us going mental and spending £60/70 million. Definitely can't see us recouping much from sales unless we do go completely mental and sell Barkley.
Lookman, Schneiderlin, Depay on loan and maybe one other.
Sell as many of our non value added squad as possible, I feel we might have to do a BOGOF deal to get rid of some of them.

In theory we still have the 100mil from the summer. We are aloud to increase our wage bill by 7mil a season an we didnt increase it in the summer due to the players that left. Osman, hibbert, howard, piennar and stones. That would mean we can pay more in wages now for second half of season.

I think we will see a few go and free up some more wages.
Cleverley 5mil fee 60k a week 1.56mil wages
Niassie 2mil fee 50k wages 1.3mil wages
Kone 1mil fer 40k wages 1mil wages

So i think max 110mil on transfers and an additional max 10mil in wages for the remaining 6 months of this season.

Scheniderlin 20mil an 100k a week so 2.6mil wages
Depay 20mil an 100k a week wages so 2.6mil wages
Lookman 10mil 30k a week max 0.78mil wages

That would leave around 60mil to spend an 4 mil on wages. I think we would look to get an experienced centre half with a high wage and maybe a younger forward like the swedish lad whos wages wouldnt be similar to lookmans.

This post has triggered me so hard Darren.

First of all, we can increase our wage by around 47m, due to John Stones sale.

2nd of all, 60k a week x 52 = 3m+, im not sure why you think there are only 26 weeks in a year.............
