Gerard Deulofeu

I dunno. Koeman is obviously doing sort of stop-gap tactics for a while til he can get more players he wants. Maybe geri doesn't fit into that and he might get a chance in the future.
No chance, he's done. He's talented but has no work rate. He won't work when we haven't got the ball, he goes missing weeks at a time, his decision making is terrible - always try's to beat a man twice over instead of passing or crossing.

It's no coincidence that Martinez in both his seasons at Everton stopped using him, especially last. Emery and Enrique wanted absolutely nothing to do with him.

This is totally not true whenever he's played this season and is just a (deserved) reputation holding over from the past.

Sadly true. There must be something wrong for Enrique, Emery, and Koeman to look at his obvious talent and think 'nah not worth it though'. These are good managers. Deulofeu is obviously not willing to give them something that other players will, maybe it's an attitude thing. Martinez is the only manager to indulge him and even him with absolutely zero care for the defensive aspects of the game got fed up with Deulofeu. Something is up with him.

“He has incredible qualities but lacks others. Put him out there, one on one and ... pfff,” Emery told Sid Lowe.

But make him play football with teammates, on a big pitch, and it’s hard. He doesn’t have the maturity or capacity for sacrifice yet.

"I told him: 'There are players here who aspire to a contract like yours, men with less talent but more hunger: Iborra, Carriço, Vitolo. They know what it costs. You haven’t experienced that. When you do, you’ll grow. I hope you get that. If not here, somewhere else.'"

His attitude is all wrong, blame it on the hype when he was little if you want but the guy has come on Spanish radio and said himself that he won't change.

Hello Ste xx

He didn't stop using him in "both his seasons" through choice.

Del got injured at home to Fulham in that first season, at a time when he was in great form.

He was out for three of four months.

I am of the belief that happen he had not been injured we would have gone in to claim that CL spot comfortably.

You are right in saying that Bobby stopped using him last season and that, IMO, was a big mistake.

When he did use him again, at Wembley in the second half, the lad almost single handedly dragged us back into that game.

Football should be about so much more than "work rate".

We need artists to go along with the artisans.

And Del should be given a run in the team.....he is by far the most skilful player we have at the club.

he's a lot better than any player in our squad

no one coms near to the danger he causes

and aaron lennon is playing ahead of him
If that were true how do you explain that Lennon is ahead of him? How do you explain the list of managers who haven't fancied him?

No it's ridiculous to say he's our best player by 'a lot'

Completely disagree. The worlds best work their socks off.
