How bad was it at work/wherever today?

A theatre staff member came into theatre, wahooing waving the paper with the result on the back. Then was slagging off scousers at lunch time calling them us all thieves. Typical OOT

I expected to get beat by the greatest team that there has ever been in the world.

That throws them. They don't usually know what to say back to you.

Which is fair. But you must admit, there are too many blues that let it consume them.

Just forget about them, life is too short.

Good advice that mate.

Yep, they're obsessed with Man U over there. They just laugh at us.

This thread doesn't do us much good either.

That's pathetic.

Thing is, the RS haven't won jack all for ages either. They seem to get giddy when they're in the top 4. The thing is, they haven't won the league - yet they behave as if they are currently champions.

Long way to go yet. I still fancy Man City or Chelsea for the league. RS will bottle it like they do each and every year. Klopp is a very good manager and they have some good players this year. But not enough to win the league.

But I think Top 4 is a trophy to them these days. Which is everything that's wrong with modern football.

Don't let them get to you. I am friend's with two RS lads and they are good fellas. One is Irish, one is Welsh.

It's the Scouse Kopites that are the worst - if you manage to find any these days!

Kloppite is running their thin squad into the ground.

Their bench yesterday was laughable - they get one or two injuries/suspensions and they're in trouble as the last 2 results has proved.

Mane off to the ACON soon too.

They'll be pushing walls over next.

Oh...

That's my second request if Killer Bob is taken.

Back to Gnashers, he is clearly rattled and finding the league a tough nut to crack.

Plopp has one tactic: run around a lot and get in the opponent's face.

Sit very deep against them and hit long passes into the channels and they panic.

They won't win the league thank god.

But they are going places under Plopp. Meanwhile, we are stood still, signing the likes of Enner Valencia who wouldn't look out of place in the SPL.

Oh yeah and Ashley Williams who just shouts a lot.

You don't win league titles with both two dodgy GKs and a dodgy defence.

All from the LFC thread in the last three or four weeks

Physician, heal thyself :)

The benefits of being unemployed...somewhat.

I got a little banter from a mate in S. Africa, but my cousins husband, who's a Sunderland fan, jumped in & stood up for Everton! Class banter!

Having said that, I'm as flat as a pancake leading up to Christmas. It may seem odd this, coming from someone on the other side of the planet but....once Everton touches you...

Since the turn of the century there have been 37 Merseyside Derby matches.

We have won just 4 of them.

It must be the most one sided Derby fixture in football history.

Not even bad.

I was calm in the build up, and the result for me was tarred by their fans throwing flares.

I was happy to concede we deserved to lose, but a draw would have done. However, when I mentioned the callous nature of their fans when they scored and the malicious reaction and consequences it may have caused to not only our fans, but their own... I was quickly "In control", the fact there are kids and disabled fans in the crowd, and they still went ahead and threw flares is disgusting, had one had a bad shot, it could have been tragedy. Smoke bond are entirely different, but flares? It's a shithouse move (apologies for language), and has NO room in the English game.

What can you say to them, lads in work tried taking the piss but i just admitted that we bottled it again and it's nothing new... then they talked sensibly about the game.

Run a pub with the missus - mostly reds unfortunately!!!!

On my return they were all waiting to give me a bit.

Noticed they were drinking champagne (2 bottles):drunk::dance::celebrate:!! £50 a bottle in my gaff, explained that I buy it in at £20 a bottle and to keep celebrating!!! And they wonder why I want them in the champions league - i'll be raking it in.
