I'm glad you recognise that thank you.
The way I see it is if you want absolute guarantees then you have to wait for the OS or official twitter feed.
For me, I'm happy to share information I believe to be accurate, and I do go to some lengths to verify the information. If it turns out incorrect or circumstances change, I'm happy to take the hit.
For me, this place and twitter is about mixing with blues, something I don't do other than match days, and sharing information.
The hope and effort is that it turns out correct. If it doesn't then caveat audiens - and even if it is incorrect hopefully it's made the experience of being a blue more interesting and enjoyable.

I just think it's a bad thing for the forum to post stuff that's mainly guess work, most of it sounds like stuff from a rumour site

It get lads hopes up then the fume when it fails to materialise is huge

If you are obliquely referring to me I only use direct sources from the club or the other party involved. I then try to verify the information with an unrelated third party.

Anyone passing on rumours will quickly be found out.

Andy Hunter and Dom King become our first ITKs of the window with the news of Baines 2 year contract, cant see which 1 broke the news first so they both get credit for now.

Nobody called the Barry and Holgate contracts tho.

I think what I enjoy most about transfer windows is all the ITKs failing to get a sniff of any of the transfers that actually materialise, and then claiming they had heard but got fed up of all the abuse so hadn't shared it.
