Hallelujah, i thought it was just me that noticed that 90% of his crosses went near post, wouldn't you think with all the time available to them that professional footballers would discuss this ?

We play one up front so I absolutely understand that GD is thinking, "front post, get in front of your man and you've scored, Lukaku". It isn't blody rocket science.

But no, he ambles around in the middle of 2/3 CBs does our Rom. I'm not knocking him massively though as he knows where the bin is, it's just he could grab himself another goal a game by just pursuing that front post!!!

and what about Barkley mate?
Barkley is different I think. He's an Evertonian and has so much pressure on him. I feel a bit sorry for him (even though he's living the life!)
Do I think he's worthy of all the hype? No
Do I think he's better than his current form? Absolutely.
Would I be bothered if Barkley left and we got major money for him? Absolutely not.
He's a nervous wreck atm and has been for 2 years. He's been absolutely bang average.

I think Barkley would be a better player if he played for another club as the pressure wouldn't be on him as much.

His decision making is appalling, he's been around the first team for a while now.

This is a thread about Deulo but i'll ask you one question, If Barkley was from Portsmouth then would Evertonians rate him the same?

Absolutely not, course they wouldn't.
The point i'm making is more - you feel sorry for Barkley because he's an Evertonian. You want Deulofeu out because he isn't.
I'm put that together because the way you describe the two of them in terms is pretty much exactly the same.

not worthy of the hype
better than what they are producing, form-wise
bang average for 2 years

(not trying to put words in your mouth, just saying how it appears imo)

Not in our dressing room mate. Unless they are just texting each other the tactics haha.

They're probably fed up of him using his pace well to go round a player and then being so unpredictable with his crosses. They run all that way and he slices it out for a goal kick lol. Or blasts it straight in to the keepers hands.

The only predictable thing with Deulofeu's crossing at the moment is that he will hit the first man without fail when taking corners.

Although I think he's playing poorly at the moment though, I haven't written him off. In some games, just his presence can be a threat in terms of making the opposition worry about him and despite his poor form, he is still one of our most talented players. He's got the best vision out of any of our players (puts Barkley to shame in that area), and his 13 assists for Lukaku last season or whatever it was, can not have just been a fluke.

Time for him and the rest of them to start realising that they have to change certain issues with their game in order to improve. Whether he is prepared to do that will determine his future at the club because he has the ability.

If bloasie had put in that 1st half performance he'd have been spat at. Probably.

But seriously Boasie has out performed that 1st half performance every half he's played but still got hounded by people with preconceived agendas.
Bolasie was 28ml Gerri was buttons

Bolasie is 28, Gerri is a kid

There is a reason why Bolasie comes in for critiscm

They wouldn't give him the abuse he gets

I keep thinking to myself is this lad a striker. But unfortunately he lacks clinical finishing. He needs to work out his position. I don't think he's a winger, more a centre forward but he just doesn't quite do enough. Sort of player I could see exploding into life tho. Basically, step up Gérard.

He showed against Spurs he could work in a two I think, but he can't finish - as you said. This would be a big problem.
