Ronald Koeman discussion

Obviously the direct contact on twitter is the morons abusing him or whatever. Not talking about that.

all these tiny little things get people talking and either deriding him or making fun and these things don't help when things go wrong on the pitch. he is creating an overall image of himself with every move and it wont help him going forward if this transition continues on the current crap path it is on.

maybe in an ideal world it wouldn't make a difference to the atmosphere at the game, but I am pretty sure if the majority of the fanbase think that he is at best a bit aloof, at worst an arrogant manager who doesn't seem too arsed about the club then it's more likely the frustrated reactions at the moment will become venomous much quicker than they would under another manager.

they don't.

they get idiots talking.

I don't care about idiots. Neither does Ronny.

Ronny is a great wind-up merchant.

I've got all the time in the world for a bit of s***housery x

me neither, but Christ if we had a functioning media dept or if Koeman had more smarts/gave more of a crap he would realise his profile isn't the best right now and he is not helping that.

he has put up two pictures of his Xmas tree... One as a joke after the reaction to the first one.

Other than that his previous two tweets were him saying the displays and results weren't good enough.

I'm baffled why this is even an issue.

I've just logged on and they're people moaning about our manager having red on Christmas tree. REALLY? Rather than spending our time calling out managers and fans over a colour, use that energy to a sing a song at the match.

It's not snarky Zat. It's true.

you know that's not the point. the reply creates a dumb unnecessary situation that looks like he is at best lecturing fans, fans with which he hasn't built up much of a rapport as of yet and are not so impressed by the rubbish on the pitch.

we know the comment is true.

you are really full of answers like this.

ultimately I don't think he will be much good for us and wont last more than two seasons max so I am not overly arsed if he makes himself hated, but I don't think he is such a smart windup merchant as you seem to think. I think he is just a bit oblivious to what people think of him. If he really wants to survive the role and be a success he would have to be a bit smarter on the PR side of things and not make things tougher on him during the 90mins his team are on the pitch. More positive profile would equal more patience when the team doesn't perform.

I wish football wasn't like this, but I honestly think he is well on his way to having people telling him to do one at the game if the bad run continues into the new year. I don't personally believe it has to be like that and he will have made his own bed if it does happen.
