Ronald Koeman discussion

The Moyes players are the senior players and still the most influential.

I hate to say I told you so, but I said at the beginning of the season that Koeman needed to sweep this place clean. He didn't though, and he did what I thought he'd do becuse Martinez did the same: pacify the old guard and hand them a place in the.new regime. Martinez was buried by them in the end...Koeman will be too.
Agreed Dave but changing the players wholesale is impossible especially when we are in sell to buy mode.

The manager however....

It doesn't help that even when we do have chances we're so wasteful and toothless in front of goal - 93 minutes for a shot on target is pitiful.

I agree that we need to adapt our style and system, although I'd question we actually have one, but our failure to be clinical is pretty worrying.

Our attack has been crap since the start of 2016

Yes, but he's also rewarding players who are playing poorly. Jagielka is just the most obvious one. He took Holgate out when he was playing very well. He took Mori out after we beat WHU with him as a starter.

I must confess that if I were one of Evertons first team squad I realky wouldn't have a clue what this feller wanted out of me. He is struggling badly to get any message across now and he's going to have to go back to where he came into this club and admit that as much of the way we played before he arrived was working as was not working.

Bottom line on Koeman in this respect: he's thrown the baby out with the bath water.

Are we seeing Southampton last season not withstanding that Koeman is not really that good a manager???

True. Yet for all his failings defensively and with a heavy heart, I feel that under Martinez at least you felt confident we'd somehow score.

The problem was that we'd most probably concede even more. At the moment however, I feel as if we're certain to concede and not score.

Obviously that's not in anyway praising Martinez or desiring him back, but rather I simply feel we still lack any direction or composure.

I think it's time we dropped the two DM system - it worked for Martinez for a short while and it's been there ever since - despite the fact it is not working. We have four at the back, two DMs and the forwards are expected to track back - how many defensive minded players do we need? If the back four can't cope - change them.

Can't help but notice the lack of movement off the ball too - we're so static. When we get the ball, everyone just stands there waiting for the ball to feet - nobody finding space or making runs. I think this group of players needs dismantling, they just look lost - or worse - like they just don't give a damn. All I do know for certain though is that we are bloody dreadful at the moment - we're going to have a painful Christmas period I think.

True. Though from March onwards we were crap going forward as well mate

Yep, this with knobs on........

If we were attacking and creating chances, then we would ease the pressure on our back four.We aren't though.... we are losing balls all over the park and adding pressure at the back.We can all see it ........ but he can't.

He can. Clearly.

He's wanting a reaction and not getting one. He's said himself out attacking isn't good enough.

Now he needs to change something to get us through to the window - where the board need to back him

I don't know what isnt being transported from his old club to this. I wondered aloud this week whether his coaching staff has been depleted and he's not getting valuable feedback. But it may well be that Pochettino established a way of playing there and Koeman went with the flow of it but doesn't quite know how to set it up at a new club. I dont think he's an innovator, that's for sure.

Jack Rodwell.
Adam Forshaw.

There is two.

I would argue Shane Duffy probably too.

Why though is the last ten years relevant when Koeman has been here six months?

I'll give you Rodwell but no exceptional accademy player, you're blattantly lying about Forshaw and Duffy being first team regulars

You lot remind me of that scene in the motion picture starring Charlton Heston " The Ten Commandments "

When Moses goes off into the mountains to speak with God, the rubble of people start making a gold statue to worship as a new God.

Remember three years ago people? Moyes was so negative, Martinez is our new lord and so positive, can't wait for the season to start. Fast forward and Martinez chats a load of Tosh and Koeman is the new lord and savior.

You will all turn on him, remember that. You will turn on him.

The Circle of BAWK.

We love Moyes for his honesty.

We hate Moyes for his honesty.

We Love Martinez for his positivity.

We hate Martinez for his positivity.

We love Koeman for his honesty?

What's next????

You will all turn on him.

Remember that.

When you all turn on Koeman, you can throw lemon drizzle cake onto the pitch in disgust at him.

I remember when people moaned about Moyes's tactics against the so called big four and he got called negative.

The same people said how refreshing Martinez was.

I said in the summer, but I'll say it again to remind you all.

YOU WILL ALL TURN ON HIM.
