Ronald Koeman discussion

@davek

Please see my thread re the youth going forward.
Its my biggest concern; especially as our academy has been a pillar of the club for many a year.

Who the hell, apart from Ross Barkley has come through the youth in the last 10 years and been good enough to cement a place in the first team, who in the last 20 years apart from Barkley and Rooney have been good enough, 2 players in 20 years, you are making stuff up to beat our manager with

I was chatting just before half-time to one of the fellas who never misses a game, and who simply lives for Everton.

He mentioned a couple of things ref Koeman: firstly, he wondered if some if the players had almost downed tools, akin to when Martinez clearly lost the dressing room in Spring last season. I'd certainly agree something just doesn't look right - it's not JUST that a fair chunk of our squad are gash/finished/both.

He reckons Barry and Jags don't seem to be as arsed as usual, and possibly Baines and Barkley.

Secondly, he said someone in the boozer pre-match had mentioned that Koeman almost always refers to Everton in the 3rd person - never "us", "we" etc. Kind of suggests he's not feeling part of the place yet. I must say I hadn't noticed but I'm deffo going to be paying more attention to his words now!

Truly awful today, but thankfully I didn't have such a long drive home afterwards. Even the 70 miles home felt like a right chore after watching that dross.

I didn't really want the man, I thought he was just another Moyes, however he was a great player and I thought maybe, just maybe, he'll get the best out of the players. Hasn't happened, certain players are going backwards, there's no passion or emotion, everyone including the manager is just picking up a nice wedge every week. We're screwed.........

Klopp is ott ours is so laid back he may as well meditate horizontally by the dug OUT he looks pathetic as does Klopp , but his team wins doh!

But he needs his 'project' at Everton to realise his ambition to manage one of the big teams. As it is, it is laughable to suggest any of the European 'heavyweights would be considering koeman as manager with our present form.

Agree, people go on about this stepping stone thing and him not being bothered about being here, however that stepping stone only comes if he does a fantastic job, he will know this so of course he is interested. Barca are not going to chase him if he finishes 6th 9th and 10th are they?

Feel sorry for you I felt disgusted let down watching it on a good HD stream I heard the. Vocal support early on - well done to you and all the travelling blues that was unaceptical for you and those gpfans to witness!

Unaceptical......now that's a word Joey. That should go straight into the GOT Thesaurus. Made me smile on a thoroughly miserable day

And that's what it felt like for everyone watching.....

Whether you want Koeman GONE or OUT or NEW MANAGER IN NOW or not, please realise that it's not going to happen.

I'm yet to hear any alternative names either.
People said Martinez was untouchable at the start of season 3 but he was hung drawn and quartered with near riots amongst the fans by the end of it
