Ronald Koeman discussion

I can't really think of anyone I wouldn't have at the club if they were able to contribute to an improvement in performances and results.
We seem to be fairly top heavy with coaching staff now but it would be a big show of strength and inner confidence from Koeman if he thought we needed and then went and got a forwards coach or anything else, whether it was Sammy Lee or whomever.

We need to see more ruthlessness as Moshiri described it. Ruthlessness sees problems and fixes them and doesn't care for ego or agendas.

One of the biggest mistakes Everton made in the 70s was not fetching Bob Hatton in when we brought Big Bob from Birmingham City.

If Dave is saying this about Wee Sammy then I am not going to lightly dismiss it :)
When you consider it it's pretty much a non-controversial statement to make that something has changed in Koeman's transition from S'ton to here. He and his brother formed 2/3rds of the outfield coaching team with the other not travelling in the move.

I'm not saying Lee should be brought here as a matter of urgency; I do say though that the extra perspective that a third coach gave Koeman at S'ton might be missing here. It could partially account for the pathetic transition out of defence to attack that's been dogging us. Another attack-minded coach looks like a necessity at this stage.

If I am honest with you Dave, I never much watched Saints under Koeman.

Were they an exciting, attacking unit?

Not just here but also Saturday and socially with a few different Blues I can't believe the pressure that seems to be being exerted on Koeman so early in his career .

It's by no means universal but it's certainly there amongst at least a few of the fan base . I for one can't really understand it , it's almost as if the pressure vacuum that previous managers seemed to operate in, certainly until late in their career , seems to have been completely reversed by some .

Baffling to be honest .
